I was greeted this morning by a live oak branch, formerly part of a tree, stuck in the screen over the pool
It provides additional shade while I am sitting on the chaise, I suppose
And gives kind of a 3D image to the lanai
A little too 3D for my taste - looks like I'll be cleaning the pool for a while today
Even if this image were animated the pool vacuum would not be moving. It gobbled up too many leaves and branches before I discovered the problem and now sits there like an overfed ......well....pool vacuum.

So-o-o we have some actual tropical storm damage. We'll need to replace at least two of the screens - after we hire Tarzan to climb up there and remove the branch which has wedged itself over and under the support.
As you can see by the pictures, we did have a little sun today - but every time I went out back to clean leaves out of the pool it started to rain.
So what have we got here got here:
Branch removal $75.00
Two new pool screens $300.00
Free (rain) water for the pool, saved $27.13
Sporadic sunshine for the first time since Tuesday: Priceless

You have a pool! I wanted one in the house but dad said that it would be difficult to maintain.
BTw, thanks so much for dropping by,
Cheers and regards,
Stanley
I am so sorry for the damage to your pool. It is so pretty and now you have to do all that work to bring it back to it's original state. I hope it doesn't tire you out. This was/is a strange storm.
Oh darlin' what a bummer! Thankfully though, you are all safe as it could have been much worse. Have a great Sunday though and enjoy the sunshine!
Stanley! Thank you for stopping over here as well! The pool really isn't difficult to maintain. We just have the water checked regularly and put in what ever chemicals are needed. The new pool vacuums do the rest.
Thank you Trish and Janeen for your visit! Yes, it could have been worse! We've been very lucky over all and this is really just a minor repair.
Your lovely pool! At least no one got hurt. ...I hoope it alll worlks out well for you..kind wishes...Pam
Thank you Pam! And, thank you so much for stopping by!

Oh dear......I was looking at all these expenses but you have neglected to add one:
Tarzan labour costs: 3 bunches bananas.
tee hee!
I always seen in the south the screen things over the pools. I wonder how come...compared to out here, So Cal, I never seen them.
I like your pool.
That is a good question! They're here out of necessity (bugs, leaves, snakes, alligators, racoons more bugs) and add an extension to the home during cool months when we can leave the doorwalls open and wander in and out as we please.
