A Ball at Willow Manor!

Willow is hosting a Ball today at Willow Manor! Will you be there? Who will you take? What will you wear? I'm so excited! It reminds me of the days when my date would arrive with a corsage.

I wonder if I will have one for the Ball? I love orchids! I hope it has orchids on it! Shall I have him pin it on?
The wonderful thing about a cyber event is I can wear anything I like! It always fits, it is always affordable and it always look fabulous! So why don't you look through your closet. See what you have to wear and come along.
I've decided on these shoes. Aren't they divine? Manalo Blahniks, my dear. And not on sale either! I practically had to pull them out of Avona's hands! The black ones look better on her anyway. I told her so. She agreed, handed them to her chauffer, and she was off to look for her gown.
At first I thought I would wear this lovely Marchesa frock. I've worn it to another gala, though and one doesn't want to be seen in the very same gown twice, does one! But look - it fits you perfectly! So why don't you just put this on and come along!
This! This is what I have decided to wear. It's another of Marchesa's designs. I thought the straps would be a better idea - with all of the dancing, you know. I'm going to wear my hair up.
Well let me just touch up my lipstick and I'm off. I've decided to meet my date there - his schedule, you know. Very busy. Who am I taking? Sean Connery. The more mature one. The earlier one - the James Bond one, would be too flirty.

Those shoes are divine! You'll be able to dance all night! You look smashing, my dear...so good to see you at the ball! Love the date, too!

I've never actually been to such a glittering affair. If you don't mind, I'll simply watch from behind a curtain, so as not put my gracelessness on display. Perhaps you could slip me a glass of wine as you dance by?

Betsy! You look magnificent! And your date. Lovely. Do you like caviar? I think I'll have another.

Debby, we only pretend a gracefullness and hope we don't step on anyone's train. I'll make sure to bring glasses of wine over every 20 minutes or so - red or white?

Your shoes and dress do look very nice if I may say so (or write, rather). Enjoy yourself at the ball.

Greetings from London.

Willow has provided this wonderful gala event. Your photos are great, and those shoes! Wherever did you find them?

I must go back to chaperone the prince with his new princess.

Mature Sean is a good idea, BUT I can't help but be wistful about the fact that flirty Sean will be left behind. Perhaps Daniel Craig is available too?

Love those Manolos Cynthia. Pop over to Poetikat's and see what I ultimatley decided upon.

Muse, I applaud your wisdom in inviting the more mature Connery...no sense in taking a man who wouldn't be completely enthralled with your every word and step. After all you are a goddess and I'm sure he's aware of that!

BTW, your orchid corsage is to die for!

Cynthia! You look magnificent in this oh-so-sexy gown!!! The dreamy Mr. Connery has forgiven me and I can tell he is absolutley smitten by you!! But, alas, I must have just one little dance with him, before the night it over. Just a sec...I promised to meet Daniel Day-Lewis over here behind this potted palm.

Ladies, ladies you all look so lovely this evening! I appreciate your looking after Sean while I left the party for a while - the obligations of the rich and famous just never end! But I have returned for dinner. I am famished! Has anyone seen Sean? I must do a tango before I have to go off again. I'll be back for all of the late night festivities!

Cyn, you look amazing in your dress. Isn't this just an absolutely divine affair? I agree the more mature Sean would be my pick. Isn't it fun to zoom all around to these fun parties? I can't wait to get the postcards.

Oh Cynthia, Sean better be back quick - I see your dance card is almost full! As for me, this poor flower girl didn't read her invitation properly!! I thought this was a ‘ball hopping’ night! Sort of like the pub crawls we have in Australia! Fortunately Rebecca and Lavinia (with her handsome entourage)graciously escorted me to the main event. Willow's Ball is the most glittering and glamorous event I’ve ever been to!

Trish and Kalianne You both look amazing in your gowns! Yes this affair was a bit different with Willow graciously hosting at her manor! My kitchen help left unexpectedly last week so I was in a bind! You may both take a spin with Sean, he's worn me out! I'm going to sit next to the punch bowl until midnight and then turn into a pumpkin!

Thank you for the compliments on my dress. I had so much fun at the party. My dance card was full!
Your dress was beautiful. It is nice to have something special to do on an everyday Wednesday.
I hope this will be a yearly event!!!

I'll wear an updated version of the lavender gown I wore to my senior prom. It is/was beautiful. I can't wear my hair up; it's too short, and I'll skip the long, white gloves that were de rigueur then. And you beat me to it with Sean, so I'll take George Clooney...or if he's not available, then Anthony Hopkins.

Hi there, I just saw a comment by you in Vee's blog... Under the blogging name of "Nana Trish is Living the Dream." Saw that and simply had to come over. Being a Nana myself {but a way older than you are one!} that name caught my eye.

Hi to another Nana. You have a neat blog here. {Not that I need another blog to follow! Eeeeek! I just had to make changes to my own blogs, because of spending tooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much time on my Net Life!!!}

But anyway, you do look like fun. And I can put it in my Google Reader, to pop in now and then. :-)

Happy October to you.

Gentle hugs,
Miss Mari-Nanci

Bibi! You look smashing! I have the older version of Sean, so you may have the younger version if you like - but George...I'd go for him if I were you!

Smilnsigh! Thank you for popping over! You were looking for Nana Trish and you may jump over to Nana Trish's blog from mine. It's listed in the margin with my favorites. Although I am old enough(and older than Nana Trish) I am not yet a nana. There's still hope, but I did the next best thing - I've "adopted" grandchildren thanks to my dear friend Heather.

I loved your shoes and gown - you have elegant and beautiful taste! Unfortunately I am not able to load up Willow's blog, I think it has too many graphics, etc on it because it never loads completely and hers is the only blog that does that. Oh well, thanks for sharing about it here so I can live the experience through you! hee hee
