Tagged for the Fourth of the Fourth!

I was tagged by Devoted from Devotions for the Seasons of Life to go to my picture folders, choose the 4th folder and from that, select the forth picture in the folder and post it. It was a little unsettling in a fun way, because who knows what picture will be the 4th of the 4th. I was pleasantly surprised to find this one! The ladies in the picture, from left to right are my sister, Janet, my niece (by marriage to my nephew Patrick), Jacquie; the Muse with a crimped up smile on my face; my sissy Mary. So there it is! This picture was taken at Jacquie's bridal shower. We gave a lovely shower in a beautiful tea room in Tampa. The corsages that Janet and Jacquie are wearing were made using some of my orchids. I took freshly cut orchids to the florist early that day and he made the corsages. They turned out beautiful - apple blossom orchids for the mothers of the bride and groom and white phalaenopsis for Jacquie.
The second part of this tag is that I must tag 4 bloggers! What is the 4th picture in your 4th picture folder???? I tag Nana Trish, Lavinia, Willow and Blicky Kitty. I'll be by a little later to see your pictures!
Devoted is a very new bloggie friend and has a wonderful and very spiritual blog. It's a good place to be, so stop on by!
I want to say thank you to Blicky Kitty and to Debby for the wonderful comments on their recent posts about my blog! I saw quite a few new bloggies pop over here from Blicky and Debby's blogs - what they all found is my last post all about spitting. Lovely, Cynthia! (spit) Thank you.
I'll be watching more of the same tonight when we tune in to the spitting Tampa Bay Rays and watch them attempt to win the title from the Chicago did I say Chicago ? I mean BOSTON Redsocks. All that spitting has rusted my brain stem.
I took a poll of several men over the last 2 days and asked each of them "Why do baseball players spit so much?." There is no definitive answer to that question. All said "I don't know" One suggested machismo - but isn't that something that's supposed to impress the ladies? Let me know, please, ladies, if you get all fluttery and breathless watching men spit all over the place! I must know your thoughts on that!!!
I got a question for the ladies from one of the men: Why do women go to the bathroom in groups. I think I can answer that one, so stay tuned!

We women go to the bathroom together so we'll have someone to hold the door shut for us if it's broken...don't we? Anyway, at least our habit is more sanitary than theirs is. Yuck, I despise seeing fresh spit on the ground....

There's reason #1 and it's a good one. The Rays may be spitting tonight, but right now (spit) they are ahead 5-0.

Cynthia, dear, I must correct you. The Rays are playing the BOSTON Red Sox in Fenway Park which, last time I checked, was in BOSTON.

That picture is cool and that shower was fun. Especially when we "sniffed" the rose petals on our noses. You should post that one.

BTW. just read Debby's post... her PET/CT scan was CLEAR! Yowza!!

Thank you for tagging me. I couldn't figure out what to do and you explained it so that even an old chick like me could maybe understand. That picture probably brought back so many neat memories.

That is a lovely photo of you yours sisters and niece.

My son played baseball and the players spit a lot for two reasons -- they chew tobacco and have to spit the slavia out, or they chew sunflower seeds and have to spit the hulls out!

I had such a fantastic time in your sunshine state, in Key West! It was such a fun place and we hope to go back again someday.

Sounds fun! Trish tagged me, too, so it will be double the fun!

I hate all that spitting. Ick.

Who's the dame second from the right? She looks dangerous. Better steer clear of her and clutch your purse, jewellery, and credit cards when she passes by. By the way, Interpol may be interested in this photo. !

p.s. "Wood" you mind going over to the birdbath to see the latest chapter in the continuing saaaaaggaaaaaa of Days of Our Wood, I mean One Life to Chop, I mean The Young and The Woodless.

Trish - It did! I had forgotten that I had that picture.

Pat so glad you enjoyed your stay at Key West - it's difficult not to on that lovely spot of land! The guys don't seem to be spitting as much as sweating tonite. At 11:40 the game is tied 7-7 in the 8th.

A double tag Willow - you have to post your picture twice I geuess - I'll be by to see it. I'm still working on the tag I got from you for the movie stars to play my life story - one of these days...

I'll be right over, Lavinia although crossing the border is a bit tricky now that my picture is up for Interpole and the boarder guards. Can I borrow your credit card for a few hours? Mine seems to be maxed out plus it's got smoke and marshmallow from the campfire stuck all over it. Your Lord and Taylor will be just fine thankyouverymuch.(spit)(sweat)

Hello! I just wanted to drop by to say I love the postcard that I recieved from you in steviewren's exchange. Lovely poem! Thank you for sharing it! (I loved the stamp, too).

It's been so much fun getting all of these little treasures in my mailbox. I'm working on a post about them all, I think they're just about all here.

Come by anytime for a visit!

Hey....what a gorgeous group of ladies in your picture...more pictures need to be updated since it has been years since the last group picture and months if not year since we have even all been together....wait, yea i remember, July 28 rings a bell as to the last get together....wonder why that was..haha...anyway, great memories were brought up by looking at that picture and remembering not only the fun of that day but the days and months that followed. We need to go have tea sometime you know....and hey muse, thanks for listening to me yesterday...hugs to you....

I go to the bathroom with other women because then you've got help if you're stuck in a stall with no TP. Or, like Stevie says, the door doesn't lock. Or Grin Slickens is there. Or Lavinia is waiting for you to hang your purse on the hook so she can nab some new, un-maxed credit cards...any one of those reasons, all of those reasons, take your pick.

Muse,

Thanks for the props on my blog. The first day of junior high school I accidently went to the boys restroom and who do you think was standing there when I walked out? The boy I'd had a crush on for seven years! Needless to say, after that I always took my girlfriends...just to be on the safe side.

As for the spitting, we live on a cattle ranch and for some time did the rodeo circuit when our oldest was a teenager. They spit because of snuff. EWWWWWWWW!

Queenie! At least your pictures are in containers with handles on them if you have to make a quick exit. Mine are in a large cardboard box that is disintegrating with age. Good to see you up and about!

Jananonymous! It is a lovely picture and a fun time in all of our lives! I am always up for tea - or "tea" Hugs to you too!!!

Perfect place for men discussions, soulbrush.

Devoted - I ended up in the men's room on my very first trip to a public restroom. I was so young I wasn't able to read yet. Mom spelled W-O-M-E-N and all I remembered was M-E-N. Good sign right there that the spacey one had attention span difficulties.
