Some Honest Scrap

A., of Snarky Much?, bestowed this industrial strength award on my blog last week. Snark is the proud owner of this self same and well deserved award. Snarky showed up at our Christmas Tour, and is still hanging out by the fire sipping eggnog and spreading the joy of embarrassment and disaster with her dedicated participation in Tova Darling's Totally Awkward Tuesdays. You are invited to participate in the fun. Snarky's blog is a must read! Thank you so much, A.!

The award comes with a few rules: The honorees are to: A) first list 10 honest things about yourself - and make it interesting, even if you have to dig deep! B) pass the award on to 7 bloggers that you feel embody the spirit of the Honest Scrap.

Well, here's some honest scrap, I posted 7 random facts recently, and rather than boggle my post holiday brain with additional overload, click here to find the first Seven Random Facts.

And I'll add three more to make 10:

8. The story of the RMS Titanic has fascinated me for years. I have between 15 and 20 books on the subject. I also have a piece of Titanic coal and a poster signed for me by the last living survivor, Millvina Dean, who was just 9 weeks old at the time of the sinking. I've touched the bell of the Titanic.

9. I am the 2nd oldest of 7 children and a 3rd generation Polish American.

10. My favorite vacation is a cruise to anywhere. Just load me on the ship and start the engines. I do have to have an outside stateroom. It doesn't matter what deck I am on as long as there is a porthole or a window.

Jane, of Jumpin in the Jungle presented me with this beautiful award in December! I think I was so overwhelmed with NOT baking cookies that I had an attack of apoplexy and the resulting amnesia rendered me incapable of acknowledging this in a timely manner. This is just a wild guess, but I'm thinking Jane's blog name has something to do with the fact that she has 4 children and 1 husband. That would be my guess! I first met Jane when she participated in our Bloggyland Christmas tour and have enjoyed visiting her blog to keep up with the Jungle adventures. Thank you Jane!

The instructions are as follows:"These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."

I will share these awards in the near future - I spent the last hour and a half just trying to think of 3 additional random things about myself and now my pillow and jammies are calling me.

1. Thou canst talk olde English best than anyone else thou knowest.
2. Thou canst write most humorestly.
3. .....okay I'm out of ideas too...I've got to go to bed. All this blogging has tired me out.

So funny that you're obsessed with the Titanic, but love cruises. That's ironic. :)

What a fun blog you have! Thanks for stopping by mine.
