The Orange Chronicles - Day Three -Jammin'!

A Little Bowl of Sunshine

This afternoon - after church and breakfast - I added sugar to the orange mixture I've been preparing during the two previous posts. I cooked it at a rolling boil until it jelled.

Then ladled it into 5 pint jars and 5 half pint jars. Voila! Marmalade. I have two more orange posts planned for the week. One will be chillin' and the other is a true Florida dessert. So put your bibs on and stay tuned! The Muse is amusing herself in the kitchen.

Wow, can I bribe you with some See's Chocolates from California for some marmalade? Gosh, looks fabulous! Where are my crumpets??

OOOhhhh...I love marmalade! I use to visit this little french restaurant in Dallas that served the most delicious marmalade ~ your pictures take me back to happy memories.

Oh my - I bet your orange marmie is sweeter (and stiffer) than the grapefruit marmalade I made last year!

We now have a mandarin, a lemonade and a lime tree in our back yard (planted late last year) - do you recommend a bit of orange too?
