Let me get this right.....you had champagne, cake, M&M's AND celebrated? Is my invitation in the mail? Well, we just moved so maybe it got lost. I'll have a word with mail-lady :)
Best wishes for your friend. She is luck to have such a friend as you.....

(filling glasses all around) So glad I had 47 cases of the champagne in my wine cellar - and enough M&M's to make a globe sized pink ribbon. Yea Debbie!

Musey, I always counted on getting good plonk over at your place and I see you haven't let me down. But, its not about me! For once, its NOT ABOUT ME! WHO SAID THAT?!?!?

It's about Debby! We are all over the moon at her progress and this special day, and over at the birdbath we have all of ancient Greece in on the celebration. Plenty of tall dark and handsome Spartans lending a helping hand (and sword and shield) to the cause. RAH RAH RAH for Debby!

MuseSwings said...

Yep, I've been hanging around with your Spartans, Lavinia. Those guys are a bit ...well spartan...but they do know how to party!

Anonymous said...

There you go talking about their attire again!
Really moochey, today of all days, can't you keep your mind above the shield!

-Lavi

MuseSwings said...

Well Livvy - they are kinda tall. That makes it a bit difficult to keep my mind on a higher plane here. Have somemore champagne and let's talk about who gets to hang out with Spartacus.

Yay for good news! I love good news!

Yes, this is cause to celebrate! Yahoo! What a great bloggy friend you are to post her progress!!

As a matter of fact, I'll be having pink champagne this weekend at my tea party! Drinks and Pinks is the theme! I am so ready to slow down from this hectic week and thank you for your comments on my roof leak. It's sunny today and the crew is supposed to be there today fixing it so I look forward to going home to see no more drip, drip!

Musey, don't make me throw you to the lions. You know Spartacus and I have an 'understanding' that has to do with various....ancient...implements...or something, having to do with Caesar or Augustus or Julius or I don't know what-all, its kind of confusing because we've now had the equivalent of 3 tubs of champagne between us and everything is getting sort of pink and foggy.... I think I'm confusing my ancient Greek with my Ancient Roman, ancient Carthage and a dash of the Phoenicians thrown in for good measure. Hail somebody or other? Anybody????

I think there was a bit of the Assyrians in there too. But hey - as long as we don't run out of champagne. Here's a straw for the tub - o-bubbly. It so plebian to have to keep refilling our goblets.

Oooh pink champers - don't mind if I do - here's to Deb!

Good golly, my comment didn't take again. Thanks everyone. I've been perusing the naked men over at Lavinia's and slipping over here for pink champagne, ducking over to BB's to get a refill on the chardonnay. What a dandy party this is, don't you think? Good plonk, as Lavinia delicately put it, good people, and naked men. I wonder what Dr West would think of all of this? Hm. I'll betcha we can score laudenam all around.

Thanks everyone. This is a great day, and I have loved checking out all the posts.

Musey? Can I eat the pink M and Ms now?

What a wonderful thing to do for your friend. Really thoughtful.

Cindi, what a great party! I'm so happy for Debby! She's a real trooper and a sweetheart!!!

MuseSwings said...

Our guest on honor has arrived! Bring on the champagne and yes, please enjoy the M&Ms! We saved them especially for you!

Lavinia said...

Musey, wouldja look off in the corner there? I knew it was bound to happen...someone dancing with a lampshade on their head! Why does this always occur at your shindigs. I thought I told you after the last soiree to hot-glue the lampshades down. We must prevent this bloggers-gone-wild type of scenario and maintain some decorum. Whatever happened to dignity. I guess that went out the window with the champagne corks! Oh would you lookee here....another conga line starting, and is that Debby at the head of it, streamers and confetti dangling from her arms? What did you say Musey? You'll have to catch me later, I'm off to join the conga line, kick up the heels, hop on the good foot and do the bad thing! Woo hoo lets celebrate with Debby!!!!! I hope your chandeliers are double-reinforced, moosey!

Check out Marie's Wednesday postcard - you'll see exactly who is wearing the lampshade. It must be a party crasher. I have the chandeliets on industrial strength wires, so swing away and have fun!

Moosey send me the link to Marie's wednesday postcard please. Thanks. I always appreciate nailing the culprits!
