It's MyFirst Blogoversary Party! Come On In!

.

One year ago today I did a quick search of blogging sites, found blogspot.com and started plunking information into the blank squares. Within a matter of about an hour or two, Muse Swings was on line with my first post. The rest is history. And maybe CIA files. And Interpol.

.

The best of the year is you, dear bloggyfriend! You've stuck with me for a whole year during rants and raves, Dr. West's advice, adventures with the Mister and some really great events. Most recently there are post card stories, horoscopes and some Old Maid tarot readings thrown in for good measure. Thanks for indulging me.

.

The events were especially fun because of your enthusiastic participation in our tea, picnic with the campfire, ocean voyage, wine making, an Italian spree - we did go to Italy, didn't we? It's all a blur. There were trains, planes spas, and a Christmas tour. What fun! It takes just a click of the mouse, a few assorted passports, a borrowed credit card, an identity or two (thanks, ladies) and a trunk full of Paris couture, a few borrowed gems, and we are off on another holiday.
.

To celebrate you and your wonderful visits and comments, I'm having a First Blogoversary party to celebrate YOU today in the gazebo that I "borrowed" from Prince Wilhelm Von Potinvondominvon.

I've baked a cake just for you!
.
Fresh strawberries and cream perhaps?
.

So, enjoy the view

.

and have a glass of lemonade with me

.
Better yet, how about a glass or two of """lime ade"""
.

Mr. Grant and his friend Kate will entertain us
.

Oh, and look! Lady Fusilla sent flowers. She must have forgiven us...... but that lawsuit is still pending...... and the emeralds.....well, If she shows up, just give her a xanex and call her a cab.
.

.
That forest ranging, grape stomping, sleigh driving Mr. Peck is flying in. I get dibs on him this time!
.

.
So gather around the table. Oh - heh..heh...heh...not this table. This is just another of the fun stories that we've spun this past year.
What a gem.
.
You are all gems for stickin' with me - you know who you are! And I do too!
.
So Happy Blogoversary to me thanks to you!

Happy Blogoversary! Wow, one year young! I am pleased to say that I've been a fan, reader, frenemy and faithful visitor since the beginning. Or almost the beginning. How I stumbled upon your blog is lost in the mists of time, or is that the haze of vodka....whatever!! The point being that I haven't looked back since. But enough about me!....what do you think of me? Oh I'm just kidding. This is the Musey Channel and I'm tuning in. I got you on speed remote Musey!

Hope you bask in the praise and good wishes of all the well wishers who visit you and join me the chorus of Bravo, Well Done, and Here Here's.

Stand Up Li'l Cindy and take a bow!

Happy Blogiversary to you. Many happy returns.

MuseSwings said...

I'm not standing up! I've got your number, Livvvy. You just want to sit here next to Mr. Peck. Soon as I'm standing he'll be in your clutches. You were first dahlink and it was the Vodka for sure because we were both on our way back from Russia as I recall...Prince Ivan Ivanivovniav, wasn't it?....Anyway so glad you're here today!

Rudee! Thanks so much for stopping by - keep an eye on Livvvy, would you?

Happy Anniversary and belated Mothers Day my beautiful friend! Wow, it seems longer than a year doesn't it? Crazy, seems like 2 years instead of 1. I would have to say my favorite post of all was the time you showed your night stand table with all it's books and decorations. Nothing flashy about it or anything dramatic... it was just a peek at you away from the computer. I'm sending my best wishes for another great year filled with fun posts and new frienships and blessings that pour over you and your Man of health and happiness. Have a wonderful day enjoying all the wonderful comments!

Janeen, Blick, step aside from Mr Peck. He's mine, mine all mine. So glad you could be here! Hand me another of those limeades, please and thank you.

Lalani, Carma and Aimee let's raise one to another year of bloggiefriends!

*whistles* Yo, Mr. Peck! Are you handy with a shovel? Hate to mess up your tux, but this garden bed isn't turning on it's own. Oh, and grab a martini for me too. Just rest it on the compost bin.

Jennifer the Daughter said...

Congrats on one year blogging Mumsie...now ignore the scritchy sandals and get to writing that novel...www.dooce.com did it...wrote a book and raised a kid (with another on the way), you can do it too!

xoxo

We should all create our little virtual realities - happy blogoversary!

MuseSwings said...

Evelyn...you mean this isn't real?..?

Blick - Mr Peck is a bit tuckered out, and it's a rental tux so he really shouln't be out there planting turnips and okra.

Jenn! Novel idea. Thnx for the reminder. Just a little boost with the plot idea and I'm on it.

Pat said...

Happy Blogaversary!! I am looking forward to more fun games to participate in.

Brenda said...

Happy Anniversary! I am a newbie to your blog, but I enjoy your posts when I visit!

Lavinia said...

Musey nothing gets by you, no matter how many mai-tai's you've got tucked under your Gucci belt. Prince Ivan Ivanivovniav, now there's a blast from the past! I vaguely recall a troika racing at break-neck speed across a frozen Russian lake, with you and me and the prince in between bundled under bearskin hides as the snow stormed around us! With only one solitary bottle of vodka for warmth, more's the pity...

The prince was charming indeed but when we found out he was holding out on us regarding the rubles, well, that put a whole new slant on things and we caught the next train out of Volgograd and never looked back. The faberge egg we 'helped ourselves' to was strictly on a 'compensation' basis and that is what I told the men in black from the Hermitage who showed up on my doorstep in Monaco making aggressive gestures and alarming threats.

From Russia with Love, indeed!!

Beth Niquette said...

Well, happy Blovoversary to you, and happy anniversary to me! I was off celebrating my 26th wedding anniversary that day. (Grin)

I love your blog.

Jane In The Jungle said...

Happy Blogoversary!!!!!
And thank you so much for the refreshments!!

MuseSwings said...

Drinks all around! Thank you all for stopping by!

Livvvv Dahlink - that was a cold Russian night for rushing out of town, wasn't it? Those Hermit men showed up in Monaco. Of all the nerve. I was probably at the bacccarrrattt tables helping myself to Sir Wenny Wentworths chips. I'm so glad you still have the egg and they didn't make an omelette out of you. For future reference, I've decided to quit dealing in rubles. They're so heavy and they make so much noise when I am trying to "check out" without being detected by Interpol. BTW it's getting ever so humid here in Florida - We must go on a holiday but I haven't been keeping up my non-gratis list. I know Somalia and Pakistan are still okay but they are so unsettled at the moment. Suggestions? Where did Duke Duckinswart say his estate was exactly? Something a little less obscure tha "abroad".

Betsy Brock said...

Congratulations, Cindy! I can't believe you have only been blogging one year. You seem like an old pro...always fun to come over here! I love your style and wit. :)

Martha@A Sense of Humor is Essential said...

Please stop by my blog, I have two awards for you, thank you.

Lavinia said...

Musey didn't you hear? Poor old Duke Duckinswart lost his estate in a heated game of "Old Maid". He "bet the farm" as they say in the prairies. It was somewhere in Yorkshire, on two thousand lovely heather-covered acres. Don't you remember the time he came to visit you and brought you a bagload of his own peat moss from the peat bogs on his estate? How could you forget that thoughtful gesture...oh well, you've had so many thoughtful gestures extended to you by lovestruck nobles, merchants and knaves.

Now as to the non gratis list, I agree, its best we steer clear of Somalia and Pakistan at the moment. The weather there is not the greatest at this time.

I believe there is a hilltop in South west India, a yurt in Outer Mongolia, and a junk in Hong Kong harbour where we may be welcome during the first two weeks of June. After that, all bets are off.

Time to pack the (borrowed) Vuitton luggage and hightail it out of our current abodes!

Musey !!!! I don't have to share that cake with anybody do I? Gulp! It's been quite a year my dear! You are the cat's meow... the hen's cluck... the frog's ribbit!
